Autumn Fabrics To Add to Your Stash
We don't need much of an excuse to search out some new fabric, but these are our top picks for autumn ... so far!
As the summer ends and autumn settles in, my thoughts turn to planning some winter sewing projects. I love to seek out new fabrics to use and can lose myself down a fabric shopping rabbit hole extremely easily!
The following fabrics are a few of my favourites for this season, which will probably make their way into my fabric stash before too long.
Fig Blue by Free Spirit
I adore this fabric. I love the rich, vibrant colours and their intensity. It reminds me of lying on the ground beneath a beautiful tree and looking up at a clear sky. I would love to use this fabric to line a large bag.
Woodland Walk in Melody by Liberty Fabrics
A Liberty print ALWAYS finds its way into my selections – I just can’t resist. I like the delicacy of this design and also that it would compliment many solid colours, too, such as plum, and forest green.
Meadow Safari - Flowers Blue by Dashwood Studios
These colours are just perfect for autumn and make me think of orange skies and pumpkins!
Walnut Bark Gold by Free Spirit
I couldn’t pass this fabric by. I used to make rubbings of tree bark as a starting point for free machine embroidery pieces, and this design took me straight back to those moments in the woods.
Winterglow Cayenne Eucalyptus by Ruby Star Society for Moda Fabrics
Eucalyptus is one of my favourite trees, and this print in cayenne is absolutely perfect for autumn projects with its rich and vibrant colour.
Halloween Parade by Rifle Paper Co.
This fabric was too cute to pass by and will no doubt be loved by children over spooky season as they prepare for Halloween!
