The Bag Designer Experience

We have created the perfect way for you to design your own bag and have it handmade, just for you.

Over the years, I have found it frustrating that the perfect bag simply does not exist. This is what started my bag-making journey and ultimately led me to set up Albero so that I could share my designs with others.

I truly love the whole process of bag making. From the germ of an idea forming in my mind, the initial rough sketch - sometimes on a scrap of paper - the making of a paper pattern and prototype in fabric, right through to the finished product. Each stage is exciting as I can make adaptations, streamline a shape, and add functionality. It is a wonderful feeling to know that the bag I wear is unique; no one else has one the same, it has been handcrafted from quality fabrics and hardware and has not been mass-produced, exploiting workers in some faraway country.

This was a feeling that I longed to share with others, and so the Albero Bag Designer Experience was born.

A simple, streamlined process is provided, enabling the recipient to make choices and create their bespoke bag design. The detailed design guide takes them through the initial concept and explains the many options available.

Fabric samples are provided so that the designer can visualise the colour combinations on offer and come up with their perfect colour palette.

Once a design has been decided upon, the designer is invited to log on to the Albero portal. Each individual design choice is logged and submitted. Once complete, the design is handmade in the UK, beautifully wrapped and boxed, then dispatched to the recipient within 4 weeks.
